dear founder,
this month was about filtering.
not just tasks or priorities — but people, fits, ideas.
we’re getting clearer on who’s right for the team & what we actually need to build.
it’s been less about speed, more about alignment.
exciting moments:
-
joey joined to run linkedin → results followed. impressions are up, content is resonating, and we’re seeing strong early momentum on brand reach. this was a clear win.
-
team dynamics are maturing → we’ve been intentional about who’s in the room, and who’s not. saying “no” faster. protecting energy. doubling down where there’s real fit.
technical recruiting → we haven’t landed our dev yet, but we’ve clarified the profile, expectations, & ideal engagement model. we know what we’re solving for now — that’s major progress.
traction snapshot:
-
linkedin impressions ↑
-
key engagement metrics ↑
-
team confidence ↑
-
clarity around product build & team needs ↑
lessons learned:
-
the right hire changes the game. the wrong one slows it down.
-
finding the right people isn’t just about skill — it’s about shared context, shared stakes.
-
sometimes building means pausing to make sure the foundation’s solid before layering on more.
founder note:
i turned 26.
spent a few days in ithaca reflecting — not in a “find all the answers” kind of way, but to zoom out, breathe, and ask better questions.
what are we building, really? what’s the cost? who’s it for?
no big epiphanies. just sharper instincts. more resolve.
what i’m carrying forward:
-
progress doesn’t always look like momentum. sometimes it looks like discernment.
-
trust is earned. fit is discovered. neither can be rushed.
-
building well now prevents rebuilding later.
-
clarity is a form of kindness — to ourselves, to our teams, to the people we’re here to serve.
-
keep filtering – faster
that’s the work right now.
& we’re here for it.
with vision, purpose, & appreciation,
Brooke
